BECOMING
A TOP 20
If
their was an award for the best idea that caused the most amount of success
in my personal and professional life, the idea of “80/20”
would certainly be the winner.
The 80/20 Principle was the very first idea that my “success
coach” shared with me, and because it has made such a huge difference
in my life, it is the very first idea that I share with others when I
am coaching them to success. The 80/20 Principle is based on a rule, a
law that has stood the test of time.
If you were to apply this rule to your spa or salon,
you would notice that 20% of the team makes 80% of the difference. My
mentor called these people, “Top 20s.” Twenty percent of the
staff make 80% of the money and have 80% of the clients. The rest, he
referred to as the Bottom 80.
When I first heard the 80/20 Rule I was one of the Bottom
80, with too much month at the end of my money. Wow was that an eye-opener!
When I met my mentor he invited me to jump from the bottom 80 up to the
Top 20. He was a Top 20 who used to be a Bottom 80. He had certainly earned
the right to be my success coach as I have earned the right to be your
success coach.
Everyone, whether they believe it or not, has the potential
of becoming a Top 20. I am living proof of this! I went on to apply what
I learned in those classes and became extremely successful. Allow me to
