The Universal Law of
WORDS

The Law of Words says: “We make our world with our words.”

WORD: Sounds of a human voice expressing thoughts, ideas, promises or commands.

Our words  - in thought or in speech - create our daily life.

As soon as we think or speak words, our creative energy immediately pours into our words and according to law, begins forming them into the experiences, relationships, and conditions of our life.

When our words are filled with positivity, and greater truth, our relationships and our livelihoods are prospered with abundance.

When our words are filled with negativity, and judgment, our relationships and livelihoods are cursed with greater scarcity, suffering and despair.

The books of wisdom strongly suggest that we become more intelligent with our words.

“By your own words you shall be prospered or condemned.”

What we send out, we get back:
How The Law of Words operates

Our minds think the words that our mouths speak. As our ears hear the words, our hearts believe what our ears hear. As soon as this happens, we begin to receive more of what our hearts believe.

When we allow our minds to continually send out words of judgment, hate and gloom, what comes back is a more hateful and gloomy life to have judgments about.

However, as we train our minds to send out words of gratitude, joy, and love, what comes back is a joyful and love-filled life that we are grateful for.

Incorrect Use of the Law of Words:
Words of Self-Pity

Some of the most life-defeating words that we think and speak are words of self-pity:

“I hate my life, oh how it sucks to be me!”
“This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done!”
“There’s no way I will ever get out of this mess!”

Speaking words of self-pity promises to bring us a more pitiful life to feel sorrow for. Speaking these kinds of words is analogous to lighting our hair on fire and then complaining about how much our scalp burns.

Correct Use of the Law of Words:
Words of Greater Self Appreciation & Acceptance

The most life-enhancing words we can think and speak are Words of Greater Self Appreciation & Acceptance.

“I Love my life, and I AM grateful to have it!”
“I accept this dilemma exactly as it is and
I AM willing to do whatever it takes to resolve it!”
“I know that this too shall pass!”

Speaking words of Greater Self Appreciation & Acceptance promises to get us back a life prospered with Abundance and Joy. Speaking these kinds of words is analogous to planting potent seeds into rich and fertile soil, with only one question to answer: where do I find a room big enough to store my harvest?

Speak No Evil; Speak only Good

Getting back a bountiful life of abundant good instead of a pitiful life of scarcity and strife will always be determine by our words. The following suggestion from the sacred writings is worthy of our deepest consideration as a formula to live by:

“Let no evil word come out of your mouth.
Speak only good words that prosper and bless.
For according to your word it shall be done unto you.”

REFLECTION

1. What kind of words have you been sending out?

         • Self-pity     • Greater Self Appreciation & Acceptance

2. What have you been getting back as a result?

3. What do you know now that you didn’t know before?

4. What will you do better now that you know it?
